About the Role

We are seeking two Specialty Doctors in Palliative Medicine to join our innovative and dynamic multidisciplinary team at St Margaret of Scotland Hospice. As a Specialty Doctor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality Specialist Palliative Care to patients living with progressive life-limiting illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and educational support to the Hospice Inpatient Units and Community-Based Palliative Care Service
  • Develop and implement an inspiring and enriching education programme in partnership with the Hospice Education Team
  • Collaborate with Primary Care colleagues and Acute Colleagues across NHSGGC to deliver high-quality care
  • Participate in the development of the Hospice's education programme and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care
  • Support the delivery of the 24/7 Support Service, which is a vital service for patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • Full registration with a License to Practice with the GMC
  • Experience in Palliative Medicine and a strong understanding of Specialist Palliative Care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
