Job Title: Biochemical Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Biochemical Development Specialist to join our team at SRG. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior purification chemist to develop and optimize peptide/protein purification techniques using Prep HPLC and Prep SFC.

The successful candidate will support the development of purification methods for chiral protein R&D projects, working closely with internal stakeholders to define project milestones and deliverables. Key responsibilities include:

  • Development and optimization of peptide/protein purification techniques using Prep HPLC and Prep SFC.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to define project requirements and timelines.
  • Compiling clear and concise reports summarizing work progress.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A higher education qualification in analytical chemistry, chemistry or biochemistry.
  • Experience in protein purification (Prep HPLC or SFC) with large and small molecules.
  • Experience leading and managing own projects.
  • Experience with oligonucleotides is highly desirable.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

Location: Cambridge.
