About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Support Assistant to provide support to pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Wokingham Borough schools.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and pastoral teams to supervise individual pupils and groups, promoting their emotional and behavioural well-being.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and empathetic individual with a passion for supporting young people to join our team at Foundry College.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To provide one-to-one and group support to pupils with SEMH needs, helping them develop coping strategies and techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement behaviour plans and strategies for pupil development.
  • Support schools in developing preventative measures to promote positive behaviour and academic progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to regular review meetings.
