Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality legal advice to clients on employment and education matters, ensuring compliance with statutory duties and obligations.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and discussions with third parties, advocating on their behalf when required.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, providing a seamless and client-focused service.
  • Supervise and manage the activities of the team, including performance, caseloads, and productivity.
  • Contribute to the development, training, and mentoring of colleagues.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEx with a strong understanding of the local government framework in relation to Employment, Education, and Governance.
  • At least 2 years of post-qualification experience gained in a local authority setting, although this is not essential.
