Job Title: Commercial Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Commercial Assistant to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD. As a Commercial Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Commercial team in various aspects of project administration, including procurement, scheduling, and cost management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and analyze cost information, quotations, and estimating data to support project decisions.
  • Assist in the procurement process, including obtaining and agreeing on schedules and contracts.
  • Establish and submit valuation dates, cost value reconciliations, and final accounts.
  • Monitor project progress and provide support to the Contracts Supervisor and Contracts Director.
  • Assist the Estimating Team and visit sites for valuations and project progress.
  • Schedule operative's weekly allocations and assist the Project Management Team.
  • Review and administer JCT contracts and compile project packs, including RAMS and BofQ's.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications in a Construction or Civil Engineering discipline (BTech / NVQ / HND / HNC).
  • Experience in Contract administration and a Commercial role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to gather, interpret, and present data.
  • Knowledge of groundworks and civils, reading drawings, and compiling Take-offs would be beneficial.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to build working relationships.
  • Good knowledge and ability to work in a varied construction business.
  • Excel and good I.T. skills preferable.
  • UK Driving Licence.
