Commercial Assistant / Contracts Administrator Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Commercial Assistant / Contracts Administrator to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Commercial and Contracts functions of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and analyze cost information, including estimating data and quotations.
  • Assist with procurement and scheduling, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Establish valuation dates and submit cost value reconciliations.
  • Submit valuations, raise invoices, and place sub-contract orders.
  • Assist with final account submissions and day-to-day monitoring of project progress.
  • Support the Estimating Team and visit sites for valuations and project progress.
  • Read and interpret drawings, take offs, and project programming.
  • Schedule operative's weekly allocations and assist the Project Management Team.
  • Contribute to the resolution of disputes, problems, and cost issues.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications in a Construction or Civil Engineering discipline (BTech / NVQ / HND / HNC).
  • Experience in Contract administration and a Commercial role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to gather, interpret, and present data.
  • Knowledge of groundworks and civils, reading drawings, and compiling take-offs would be beneficial.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to build working relationships.
  • Good knowledge and ability to work in a varied construction business.
  • Excel and good IT skills preferable.
  • UK Driving Licence.
