Logistics Project Manager

Mass Consultants Ltd is seeking a skilled Logistics Project Manager to join our team. As a Logistics SME, you will be responsible for conducting operational-level logistics planning, designing and delivering Logistics HQ training events, and ensuring the security of the project in accordance with Company Security Instructions and the MMS.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as the primary point of contact for all matters relating to the contract with the support of other stakeholders as required.
- Delegate tasks to other project team members where appropriate.
- Generate project work plans and deliver against those plans, reviewing and revising plans as appropriate to meet changing needs, requirements, and/or other unforeseen events.
- Apply judgement to achieve successful project outcomes, engaging with relevant stakeholders as required, taking into account any governance level objectives.
- Meet financial objectives by forecasting project outcomes, preparing work orders and monthly reports, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances and initiating corrective actions, and ensuring alignment with the project reports generated by Finance.
- Ensure project risk of all types is identified, analysed, actively managed, and escalated (where appropriate).
- Ensure the customer fulfils their responsibilities on the contract through regular formal contact reviews.
- Support the delivery of TSG projects including, where appropriate, participation in deployed exercises which will involve working long days and weekends.
- Effectively contribute to the winning of new projects that enable the achievement of the TSG business plan.
- Develop and support business development activity to achieve the TSG and wider MASS business plan.
Requirements:
- Military service and staff experience (preferably Joint as opposed to single Service) at SO2 or above level, or equivalent.
- Significant experience of managing projects (minimum 5 years).
- Strong customer/stakeholder relationship management skills.
