About the Role:

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Chartwells - Independent. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating exceptional food experiences for our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
  • Identify opportunities to improve our food service and implement changes to enhance the customer experience
  • Create a positive kitchen environment where your team feels valued and supported
  • Deliver our culinary concepts to our customers and ensure consistency across all locations
  • Represent Chartwells - Independent and maintain a positive brand image
  • Manage kitchen operations, including ordering, stock control, and food waste reduction
  • Oversee kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain high hygiene standards
  • Manage budgets and meet financial targets
  • Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
  • Create a positive work environment where the whole team can thrive
  • Be a brilliant communicator and easily build relationships
  • Have experience in a similar Executive Chef role
  • Strive for excellence in an enthusiastic and motivated manner
  • Take initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers
  • Have a desire to succeed in your role
