About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Anchor, a leading provider of care and housing for older people. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for managing every aspect of catering within our location, delivering a high-quality catering service that meets the needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Catering Operations: Oversee the planning, preparation, and presentation of meals, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and hygiene.
  • Lead the Catering Team: Supervise and motivate a team of chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain Compliance: Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are met, and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
  • Control Kitchen Resources: Manage kitchen stock, equipment, and resources within budget, ensuring that they are used efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience: Intermediate or level 3 food hygiene certificate with Cater craft or similar award, and proven experience as a chef and people manager.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Ability to negotiate, influence, organize time, and prioritize activities, as well as basic computer knowledge and safe use of kitchen equipment.
