About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to lead our catering operation at Anchor Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of catering, ensuring a high-quality service that meets health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Lead and manage a small team of chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent performance.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and health standards, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents.
  • Control kitchen stock, equipment, and resources within budget, optimizing efficiency and minimizing waste.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Head Chef or Chef Manager in a similar environment.
  • Proven knowledge of health and safety procedures, including COSHH and food safety standards.
  • Excellent chef and people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Basic knowledge of dietary requirements for older people and the impact of food types on medication.
  • Basic understanding of IDDSI.
  • Experience working with fresh seasonal produce and baking and cake making skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Able to negotiate, influence, organize time, and prioritize activities.
  • Flexible, innovative, and able to work as part of a team and individually.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
