The Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our Maintenance & Estates Service team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in public sector procurement, particularly with the Public Contracts Regulations. You will be responsible for leading end-to-end procurement processes for complex maintenance contracts, creating and managing tender documentation for various property services, and working collaboratively with stakeholders to develop procurement strategies.

  • Lead end-to-end procurement processes for complex maintenance contracts
  • Create and manage tender documentation for various property services
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop procurement strategies
  • Ensure compliance with Public Contracts Regulations
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Report on procurement spend and efficiencies achieved

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Substantial experience in public sector procurement (such as social housing or local authority) particularly with PCR regulations
  • Proven track record in managing full-cycle procurement processes
  • Experience in creating tenders from scratch through to contract award
  • Strong background in property maintenance/building services procurement
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to analyse complex financial data and demonstrate commercial acumen
  • CIPS qualification desirable
