About the Role

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Workforce Planning Specialist to join its team. As a key member of the HR department, you will play a crucial role in evaluating the Trust's workforce establishment and creating innovative workforce plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review the Trust's establishment in collaboration with key stakeholders, focusing on 'outside of the box' thinking to fill vacancies and gain best value for money and quality of care.
  • Work closely with the Recruitment Team to improve processes and attract top talent.
  • Be an active member of key workforce projects, involving changes to workforce supply and demand.
  • Write business cases and support stakeholders with workforce plans, succession planning, pay, and terms and conditions.
  • Review staff constraints for service delivery, productivity, and provide workforce-based solutions.
  • Advise Trust stakeholders on staffing structures and provide practical solutions to complex structures.
  • Advise key stakeholders on effective staffing solutions, in line with employment law, legislation, best practice, workforce supply, equality, and diversity, and value for money.
  • Work with Finance and ESR to create and maintain detailed staffing and vacancy reports.
  • Complete returns in line with National, Local, and Regional workforce requirements.
