About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Workforce Planner to join our team at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating the Trust's workforce establishment and creating innovative workforce plans.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Review the Trust's establishment in collaboration with key stakeholders, focusing on 'outside of the box' thinking to fill vacancies and gain best value for money and quality of care.
  2. Work closely with the Recruitment Team around process improvements and talent attraction strategies.
  3. Be an active member of key workforce projects which involve changes to workforce supply and demand.
  4. Write business cases and support key stakeholders with the writing of business cases associated with workforce plans, succession planning, pay and terms and conditions.
  5. Review staff constraints for service delivery, productivity and aid with workforce-based solutions when the answers are complex or conflicting with other priorities.
  6. Advise Trust stakeholders on staffing structures, with practical solutions to complex structures.
  7. Advise key Trust stakeholders (including Executive level) on effective staffing solutions in line with employment law, legislation best practice, workforce supply, equality and diversity and value for money.
  8. Work in collaboration with Finance and ESR, create and maintain detailed staffing and vacancy reports for regular submission to management and board.
  9. Complete returns in line with National, Local and Regional workforce requirements working closely with System colleagues.
