Electrical Control Specialist

MC Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Control Specialist to join their team at a Biomass Power Plant in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting planned and reactive maintenance work on all electrical and control instrumentation assets across the power station to ensure maximum plant availability and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fault finding, repair work and planned and unplanned maintenance on all Electrical assets to maximise plant availability.
  • Working alongside other Technicians and Engineers to ensure an accurate daily schedule is produced and worked to.
  • Work with the site engineering team on plant improvement projects and upgrades.
  • Assisting during site outages / shutdowns when required.
  • Maintaining accurate records using the site CMMS.
  • Managing and directing site contractors as required.

Requirements:
  • A time served apprenticeship in a relevant electrical or instrumentation discipline.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a power generation environment.

Working Hours:
This is a days-based role working Monday to Friday 8-4 with a great opportunity for some overtime.
