Job Summary

Kenton Black Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team in the Yorkshire region. As a Design Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the design process for projects with values in excess of £30m.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project information and set design deliverables in conjunction with the Project Manager, consultants, and contractors.
  • Prepare and agree design programmes, monitoring and reporting on design progress.
  • Scrutinise design to effect value engineering, construction, and develop design input/output responsibilities between consultants and subcontractors.
  • Monitor progress and status of RFI's and document control, coordinating approval of all Building Regulation matters.
  • Support and give input to the bid team to ensure robust tendering, particularly on 2nd stage bids, ensuring buildability and value.
  • Manage a small team including a design assistant and document controller.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Design Manager in a similar industry.
