About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Practitioner Psychologist to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a key member of our Forensic Mental Health and Psychiatric Intensive Care Specialities, you will play a vital role in the development and provision of psychological services to adult inpatients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the provision of specialist psychological assessment and intervention to clients admitted to the Cwm Seren LSU and PICU in Carmarthen.
  • Work therapeutically with individuals, groups, families, and significant others to meet the full range of referred needs.
  • Contribute to service development, care, and treatment planning.
  • Provide consultation, training, and supervision to multidisciplinary teams.

Person Specification
  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in Applied Psychology as accredited by the BPS.
  • Doctoral level knowledge of research design and methodology.
