About the Role

We are seeking two experienced and enthusiastic Home Learning Educators to drive forward the Best Start for Life Offer across Tameside Family Hubs Network.

The successful candidates will work closely with the Early Years, Early Help, parenting, outreach team and health colleagues to plan and deliver home-based support and intervention for families and children who may not be accessing any other services.

The role will offer flexible and tailored support to families and children within the home, while also encouraging access and participation through the Family Hub.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with pre-school age children birth-5yrs, offering developmental support through evidence-based programmes and building on a quality home learning environment with parents and carers.
  • Support children with special educational needs directly or in partnership with other services such as Portage.
  • Take a lead role in communicating with families and partners to identify what support is needed and who can provide that most effectively.
