We are currently recruiting for a Female Specialist Worker to join our Housing First Programme team at Central Recruitment Services Ltd.

This role involves providing support to female clients who have experienced multiple disadvantages and are linked to the criminal justice system. The position is available on a temporary basis for approximately 1-2 months, with the option to extend.

The salary for this role is £17.44 per hour, which includes £1.88 holiday pay.

The key tasks associated with this position include:

  1. Conducting comprehensive needs and risk assessments, as well as developing risk management plans.
  2. Delivering support services that adhere to the principles of Housing First.
  3. Facilitating access to interim accommodation upon release, if additional support is needed before transitioning to permanent housing.
  4. Assisting clients in preparing to move into independent accommodation and providing support with day-to-day living tasks.
  5. Coordinating with clients and local authorities to ensure the availability of necessary benefits and secure rental payments.
  6. Identifying and addressing potential safeguarding concerns to minimize risks to clients and others.

To be successful in this role, applicants should possess a deep understanding of the challenges faced by women who have been incarcerated or involved with the criminal justice system.

Candidates must also demonstrate expertise in conducting risk and needs assessments, developing support plans, and establishing goals for clients.

A valid, fully enhanced DBS certificate is mandatory for this position, either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months. Applicants may choose to obtain a DBS certificate through Central (at a cost of £56).
