ENGINEERINGUK is looking for a talented AWS Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As an AWS Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing innovative cloud computing solutions and resolving complex technical problems.

AWS builds and operates some of the largest internet infrastructure on the planet, providing companies of all sizes with an infrastructure web services platform in the cloud. With AWS, customers provision compute power, storage, database, and other cloud resources as their business demands them.

AWS Utility Computing provides product innovations - from foundational services such as Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS's services and features apart in the industry.

As a member of our UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deep dive to determine the root cause of a customer issue
  • Investigate why a metric is trending the wrong way
  • Consult with top engineers at Amazon
  • Discuss radical new approaches to automate operational issues
Requirements:
  • Experience in software development or technical support
  • Experience scripting in modern programming languages
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
