Job Overview

The Oldham College is seeking an experienced Tutor/Assessor to join its growing Caring Professions Work-Based Learning Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in the residential childcare sector.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to support learners undertaking level 4 and 5 apprenticeships and adult part-time qualifications in residential childcare. You will have a proven track record of providing work-based teaching, learning, and assessment in this sector area.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to learners in residential childcare
• Develop and implement effective learning plans to meet the needs of learners
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of programmes
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress and achievement

Requirements
• A minimum of level 3 residential childcare qualification
• Level 3 assessors award
• A minimum level 4 teaching certificate and/or willingness to work towards a level 5
• Experience of teaching and assessing apprentices and adults
