Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified Tutor/Assessor to join our Caring Professions Work-Based Learning Team at The Oldham College.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to support our learners undertaking level 4 and 5 apprenticeships in Residential Childcare, Early Years, and Education.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and assessment to our learners, ensuring they receive the best possible education and training to succeed in their careers.

As a Tutor/Assessor, you will be working closely with our experienced team to develop and implement effective learning plans that meet the needs of our learners.

You will also be responsible for assessing learner progress, providing constructive feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment to learners undertaking level 4 and 5 apprenticeships in Residential Childcare, Early Years, and Education.
  • Develop and implement effective learning plans that meet the needs of our learners.
  • Assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification in Early Years or Education (e.g., PGCE, BEd).
  • Experience of working in a residential childcare setting or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of current legislation and regulations governing Early Years and Education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong commitment to continuous professional development.
