Private Client Lawyer Opportunity

Avocet Legal Careers is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our team in Launceston, Cornwall. As a Private Client Lawyer, you will provide comprehensive legal advice to clients on matters related to Wills, Inheritance Tax planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Court of Protection, Deputyships, and Estate Administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Advice and Support: Provide expert legal advice to clients on Private Client Law matters, including Wills, Inheritance Tax planning, and Estate Administration.
  • Document Drafting and Negotiation: Draft tailored documents and letters to meet clients' specific needs and objectives, and negotiate and secure agreed outcomes with clients and other professionals.
  • Case Management and Coordination: Oversee the successful implementation of agreements and coordinate involved parties.
  • Team Collaboration and Supervision: Supervise and mentor trainee solicitors and legal assistants, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with legal developments through ongoing professional training (CPD).
Requirements:
  • Qualifications and Experience: You will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 5 years' PQE and proven experience in Private Client Law.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, strong teamwork capabilities, and adaptability.
  • Professional Qualifications: Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and the SOS document management system.
