The Role

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is a fantastic opportunity to join our team at an inclusive primary school in Lambeth, London. You will work closely with students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and contribute to creating a nurturing environment that fosters growth and confidence.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to children with SEN, ensuring they engage effectively with the curriculum across KS1 and EYFS.
  2. Work collaboratively with students with ASD, employing strategies to promote communication, engagement, and independence.
  3. Contribute to the design and implementation of individualised learning plans with the class teacher and SENCo.
  4. Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes growth and confidence among students.
  5. Monitor and record student progress, contributing to regular reviews and strategy updates.
  6. Support students with personal care and sensory needs, prioritising their well-being.
