Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Cancer Care Pharmacist to join the NHS Lothian Pharmacy & Medicines Service team at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre (ECC). As a key member of the pharmaceutical delivery team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting patients undergoing CAR-T cell therapy and autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplants.

The successful candidate will have a Master of Pharmacy Degree (or equivalent) and General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registration. You will also have completion of or have equivalent competence mapped to the RPS post-registration foundation pharmacist curriculum. A commitment to improving patient care through pro-active, evidence-based pharmaceutical services is essential.

You will be part of a rotational Band 7 program that provides a breadth of training and experience across cancer services. This includes playing a key role in the pharmaceutical delivery of CAR-T cell therapy, autologous stem cell transplants, and other advanced therapies (ATMPs) for patients.

In this role, you will work closely with a highly supportive haematology pharmacy team, committed to innovation and the development of cancer services. You will engage with an exciting pipeline of new treatments and participate in clinical trials, helping to shape the future of cancer care.

The salary for this position is £46,244 - £53,789 per annum, pro rata. The role requires a commitment to evening, weekend, on-call, and public holidays.
