Cancer Care Specialist

NHS Scotland is committed to delivering high-quality patient care through specialized services. We are seeking a Cancer Care Specialist to join our team at Western General Hospital.

This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced therapies and make a meaningful impact in cancer care. As a Cancer Care Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting patients undergoing CAR-T cell therapy and autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplants.

About the Role

  • Deliver pharmaceutical services for patients receiving CAR-T cell therapy and autologous stem cell transplants.
  • Collaborate with a highly supportive haematology pharmacy team to improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in clinical trials and contribute to the development of cancer services.
  • Benefit from opportunities for service improvement, independent prescribing training, and professional development.

Requirements

  • A Master of Pharmacy Degree (or equivalent) and General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registration.
  • Completion of or have equivalent competence mapped to the RPS post-registration foundation pharmacist curriculum.
  • A commitment to improving patient care through evidence-based pharmaceutical services.

Salary: £46,244 - 53,789 per annum, pro rata, including evening, weekend, on-call, and public holidays commitment.
