Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Metrology Engineer to join our Materials Assurance team at the National Composites Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expertise in material properties, quality, and consistency evaluation.

About the Role

This role involves rigorous testing following international and British standards, conducting inspections, and analysing materials. You will work closely with our team of experts in NDT, Metrology, and Materials Testing to deliver high-precision results.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Perform in-process verification and manufacturing processes.
  • Utilise metrology software for efficient data analysis and reporting.
  • Contribute to multiple projects, particularly those involving composite manufacturing processes.
  • Skilled in using Polyworks and SpatialAnalyzer software.
  • Knowledgeable about contemporary metrology techniques and advancements.
  • Programming CMMs.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, automation, and coding languages.
  • Experience in mechanical testing, microscopy, NDT, and thermal analysis.
  • Background working with composite materials and manufacturing processes.
