We are seeking an Advanced Metrology Expert to join our Materials Assurance team at the National Composites Centre. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and consistency of materials used in composite manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of metrology principles, including measurement techniques and data analysis. Proficiency in using CMMs and metrology software such as Polyworks and SpatialAnalyzer is essential.

As an Advanced Metrology Expert, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, analyzing data, and providing expertise in material properties, quality, and consistency. You will work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-precision results.

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of materials and products to ensure compliance with international and British standards.
  • Analyze data from CMMs and other metrology equipment to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide expert advice on material properties, quality, and consistency to support design and manufacturing teams.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new metrology techniques and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection results and data analysis.
