The National Composites Centre is a leading research and development facility specialising in composite materials and manufacturing processes. Our team combines experts in NDT, Metrology, and Materials Testing, working collaboratively to deliver high-precision results.
About the JobWe are seeking a skilled Metrology Engineer to join our Materials Assurance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expertise in material properties, quality, and consistency evaluation.
Key Responsibilities- Perform in-process verification and manufacturing processes.
- Utilise metrology software for efficient data analysis and reporting.
- Contribute to multiple projects, particularly those involving composite manufacturing processes.
- Skilled in using Polyworks and SpatialAnalyzer software.
- Knowledgeable about contemporary metrology techniques and advancements.
- Programming CMMs.
- Familiarity with CAD software, automation, and coding languages.
- Experience in mechanical testing, microscopy, NDT, and thermal analysis.
- Background working with composite materials and manufacturing processes.
We provide an annual salary of £60,000 - £70,000, company-paid private medical insurance, up to 12.5% employer pension contribution, flexible working arrangements, and honorary staff status at the University of Bristol.
