Mechanical Engineering Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Manager to join our team at Space Park Leicester. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for leading the development of Mechanical Engineering projects, ensuring best business practices are in place, and conducting performance reviews.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the team in concept development and testing of Mechanical Engineering projects.
- Develop flight reference bodies and support material development & testing.
- Complete aero-thermal analysis and material development tasks.
- Advise on advanced component manufacturing.
- Ensure the portfolio of work is carried out as directed by the Senior Engineering Delivery Manager.
- Work as a team with other managers to ensure delivery of the portfolio is met & provide best practice support to our personnel.
- Identify and solve complex operational and management challenges.
- Identify and support opportunities for developing staff within your area of responsibility.
- Proven experience of managing engineering staff.
- Effective communication and influencing skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience of providing a resilient approach to driving change and supportive change management.
