About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at JP Engineering. As a key member of our Building Services department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mechanical design solutions for building services projects
  • Collaborate with project leads and team members to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
  • Conduct calculations and analysis to prove design feasibility for domestic, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems
  • Coordinate design with electrical design members to ensure seamless integration
  • Participate in design team meetings and report progress to the wider design team
  • Manage personnel design workloads and provide completed works to the project lead for QA
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in mechanical design for building services
  • Working knowledge of current building regulations, CIBSE documentation, British standards, and BSRIA documentation
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Hevacomp, and other industry-standard software
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
