Job Title: Graduate Mechanical/Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Mechanical/Design Engineer to join our team at JP Engineering.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical design, reporting to the project lead, and coordinating internal project workloads. They will also assist in advising on resourcing and workload within the project Mechanical team, setting design goals, and attending weekly team meetings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of current building regulations, CIBSE documentation, British standards, and BSRIA documentation. They will also be proficient in office software, AutoCAD, and Hevacomp.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct mechanical design and calculations for domestic, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems.
  • Coordinate design with electrical design members.
  • Manage personnel design workloads and provide completed works to the Project lead for QA.
  • Participate in the design verification process, including self-checking work prior to issuing for QA.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of mechanical design principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
