About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in a primary school setting.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-to-one support or work with small groups, helping pupils to develop their skills and confidence.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils with physical or learning disabilities, autism, and behavioural difficulties.
  • Providing individualized support to help pupils achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering lessons, adapting materials and resources as required.
  • Monitoring and recording pupils' progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and parents as required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs in a primary school setting.
  • Knowledge of different learning styles and strategies for supporting pupils with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 per annum (equivalent to £95-£105 per day)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
