Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Operations Coordinator to join our finance team at Reed. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role requires a proactive individual capable of managing their own set of finance duties and working unsupervised.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate processing of supplier invoices and reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Ensuring correct supplier balances and managing supplier payments with proper reconciliation.
  • Handling all supplier queries efficiently.
  • Conducting weekly cash counts and safe reconciliations.
  • Assisting with monthly stock take preparation and completion.
  • Maintaining an effective system for the filing, storage, and retrieval of all documents.
  • Ordering and managing stationery and sundry items, maintaining correct par levels.
  • Completing month-end tasks to ensure close by the deadline.
  • Reconciling daily debit/credit card transactions and all cash on site.
  • Ensuring staff adherence to correct cash up procedures and suggesting improvements.
  • Preparing cash for daily banking and resolving card payment queries.
  • Redeeming and reconciling gift vouchers and managing aged debtors reconciliations.
  • Covering tasks for the Accounts Receivable Assistant as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Well-organised, proactive, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel skills are essential.
  • AAT qualification or working towards it is preferable.
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
