We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our finance team at Agility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, reporting, and compliance, while providing strategic insights to help shape the future of our business.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Financial Reporting & Analysis**: Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, monthly management accounts, and ad-hoc reports for senior management.
  • **Budgeting & Forecasting**: Take charge of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • **Cash Flow Management**: Oversee cash flow planning and ensure appropriate liquidity levels for business needs.
  • **Compliance & Audits**: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including tax filings and audits. Liaise with external auditors to deliver clean, unqualified audit reports.
  • **Team Leadership**: Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development.
  • **Business Partnering**: Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights, supporting informed decision-making and driving financial performance across the business.
  • **Process Improvement**: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and systems, driving efficiencies and improved controls.
  • **Risk Management**: Develop and implement effective risk management strategies, ensuring the business is safeguarded from financial risks.

**Requirements:**

  • Qualified Accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a senior finance role, with a strong track record of delivering financial control and insights.
  • Leadership Skills: A confident leader with experience managing and developing a finance team.
  • Commercial Mindset: Able to see the big picture and provide strategic financial advice that drives business growth.
  • Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with financial systems and software; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Problem Solver: Ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and streamline processes.
  • Excellent Communicator: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
