Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Lead to join our team at Griffith Foods. As a key member of our Site Leadership Team, you will play a crucial role in driving our safety culture and improving our practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive HSE plan that prioritizes culture and best practices.
  • Lead people development initiatives, leveraging regional contacts and industry standards to drive excellence.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the business at all levels, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain critical plans, policies, and procedures, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Manage HSE records, risk assessments, and incident reporting, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Collaborate with the HR Department to support occupational health referrals and ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH certification is essential for this role.
  • Previous environmental experience is highly desirable, as is food industry experience.
  • LEAN manufacturing experience and knowledge of ISO14001 and 9001 are also highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and teach/coach others.
  • A highly organized approach to working, with a resolution-focused outlook and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
