Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Lead to join our team at Griffith Foods. As a key member of our Site Leadership Team, you will play a crucial role in driving our safety culture and ensuring compliance with best practices and legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive site HSE plan, focusing on culture and continuous improvement.
- Lead people development initiatives, utilizing regional contacts and industry standards.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to the business at all levels.
- Accountable for developing, implementing, and maintaining critical plans, policies, and procedures.
- Manage HSE records, risk assessments, and incident reporting systems.
- Support the HR Department with occupational health referrals.
Requirements
- NEBOSH certification is essential.
- Previous environmental experience is desirable.
- Food industry experience is desirable.
- LEAN manufacturing experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of ISO14001 and 9001 is strongly desirable.
- Ability to influence decision makers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Resolution-focused outlook to problem-solving.
- Able to teach and coach in an understanding manner.
- Highly organized approach to working.
