About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Lead to join our team at Custom Culinary. As a key member of our Site Leadership Team, you will play a crucial role in driving our safety culture and improving our practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Health and Safety plan, focusing on a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Lead people development initiatives, utilizing regional contacts and industry standards to ensure our team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the business at all levels, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain critical plans, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Manage HSE records, risk assessments, and incident reporting, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Support the HR Department with occupational health referrals and provide guidance on related matters.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH certification is essential for this role.
  • Previous environmental experience is desirable, as is experience in the food industry.
  • Knowledge of ISO14001 and 9001 is strongly desirable, as is experience with LEAN manufacturing.
  • Ability to influence decision-makers, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a resolution-focused outlook are essential.
  • Able to teach and coach in an understanding manner, with a highly organized approach to working.
