Brand Strategy Senior Manager

As a Brand Strategy Senior Manager at Cigna Healthcare, you will play a key role in accelerating the growth and reputation of our International Health division. You will apply strategic, analytical, and creative thinking to solve complex challenges and drive the delivery of our brand strategy, architecture, positioning, naming, and awareness and reputation building.
This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to execute and implement across the enterprise. You will work closely with our enterprise Brand team and International Health Marketing leads to bring our brand to life across key audiences and touchpoints.
You will influence the rollout and implementation of brand identity and migration strategies across our international markets. This will involve partnering with legal, technology, sourcing, and other key stakeholders to understand dependencies and execute strategies.
- Partner with internal and external partners to coordinate brand projects
- Build brand activation strategy for key IH markets and products
- Support and define positioning and messaging across various go-to-market and brand relationships
- Support brand health research and product/service naming ideation and implementation
- Elevate the new brand narrative and identity, partnering with our creative teams and agencies to ensure consistent application
- Serve as a thought leader within the organization, partnering with teams across the company to provide clear decisions and guidance on brand needs and application
- Socialize and educate internal and external teams on brand strategy and implementation
- Build thought leadership content to be leveraged by various markets
- Own the over-arching social media strategy for International Health
- Measure, monitor, and communicate progress
- Lead a dynamic team of brand strategists
Experience and Competencies:
You must be highly motivated, driven to succeed, have proven leadership skills, and have demonstrated expertise in a matrixed environment. You are an accomplished Brand Strategist who is a strategic thinker, problem solver, creative person who can distill complex situations into clear guidance and who understands the big picture.
8+ years of experience in brand strategy and/or activation
A passion for problem-solving, creative expression, and improving the way companies relate to clients and customers
Experience with brand/marketing strategy for B2C and B2B with messaging to multiple target groups
Experience collaborating with agencies and creative resources (internal/external)
Experience in leveraging data and research to inform strategy and execution
Persuasive storyteller
Well-honed communication skills, enabling the partnership with others to effectively inform and influence while building trust
Experienced in anticipating, understanding, and meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholders
Ability to translate business strategy and goals into brand strategy and liaison with key marketing and creative partners to bring it all to life
Writing skills and ability to create strategic frameworks
Presentation skills and ability to distil complex information into executive summaries
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and execute with ambiguity
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective under pressure
Experienced in budget management
Experienced in managing a team
Experience in the insurance industry a plus
