Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for a part-time Administrative Coordinator within the Eye Day Care department at Maidstone Hospital.

This role is pivotal in the smooth running of the department, working closely with the medical and nursing teams and other support staff. You will be responsible for ordering and collating notes for admission lists and specialist clinics, preparing patient records, admitting and discharging patients, and booking follow-up appointments as necessary.

Main Responsibilities

The post involves working independently and as part of a team, managing your own workload effectively, and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. You will have close relationships with colleagues and external partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Possess good communication skills (written and oral)
  • Prior experience in a clerical role or dealing with the public would be beneficial
  • Able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
  • IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or similar software
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
