Year 6 SEN Support Specialist

Role Overview:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team at a school in Peckham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to Year 6 students with special educational needs.
- Assist the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Implement individualised learning plans and strategies.
- Support students with their social and emotional development.
- Work closely with the SENCO to monitor and report on student progress.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (preferred but not essential).
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of £26,000 and a supportive and inclusive school community. You will also have access to professional development and training opportunities.
