Year 5/6 Class Tutor with SEN Experience

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team at Reeson Education.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified SEN Teacher to work with a Year 5/6 class of 8 pupils with Autism and Cognitive delays. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a sensory-based curriculum focusing on Speech and Communication and social skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching a Year 5/6 class of 8 pupils with Autism and Cognitive delays
- Working alongside two friendly and supportive learning support assistants (LSAs)
- Delivering a sensory-based curriculum focusing on Speech and Communication and social skills
- Collaborating with the learning support assistants to provide a supportive learning environment
- Developing and implementing individualized learning plans to meet the needs of pupils with Autism and Cognitive delays
- Maintaining accurate records of pupil progress and adapting teaching strategies as needed
- Participating in staff meetings and contributing to the development of the school’s SEN policy
- Working collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
- Providing a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social skills and communication
- Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment
About You:
To be considered for this role, you will need to have a QTS or overseas trained equivalent, experience working in an SEN school or with ASD and SLD children, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
