Model Risk Officer, VP/Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Model Risk Officer, VP/Director to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA.
Key Responsibilities- Coordination: The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating between the central Model Risk Management functions and local RISQ Management teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Support and Escalation: The candidate will provide support to RISQ/GBR in their dialogue with BUs and SUs on model risk related topics, and escalate questions or concerns raised by local model users or management to the central teams.
- Regulatory Surveillance: The Model Risk Officer will cooperate with local regulatory surveillance teams to identify new model risk themes, trends, or regulations, and keep the central teams informed of new developments.
- Communication and Training: The candidate will orchestrate the communication of good practices or guidance from central teams to local model users, and train local BUs and SUs on new tools, processes, and frameworks.
- ALM Model Review: The Model Risk Officer will support the local ALM team in their review of ALM models, ensuring compliance with Group's best practices.
- Broad Understanding of Risk Management: The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of risk management and model risk in a banking environment.
- Autonomy and Alert Raising: The candidate will be autonomous and raise alerts appropriately to management where required.
- Experience in Risk Management: The Model Risk Officer will have experience in previous roles on risk management and ideally on model risk.
- Language Skills: The candidate will have a very good command of written and oral English, and some familiarity with French is useful.
