Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Model Risk Officer, VP/Director to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Coordinating with central Model Risk Management functions and local RISQ Management teams to ensure effective model risk management.
  2. Supporting RISQ/GBR in their dialogue with BUs and SUs on model risk related topics.
  3. Escalating questions or concerns raised by local model users or management to MRM and ALM central teams.
  4. Identifying new model risk themes, trends, or regulations and informing MRM and ALM central teams.
  5. Communicating good practices or guidance from MRM and ALM central teams to local model users or ALM model reviewers.
  6. Supporting the local ALM team in their review of ALM models.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. A broad understanding of risk management and model risk in a banking environment.
  2. Autonomy and ability to raise alerts appropriately to management.
  3. Experience in previous roles on Risk management and ideally on Model Risk.
  4. Very good command of written and oral English.
  5. Some familiarity with French is useful.
