Model Risk Officer, VP/Director

As a Model Risk Officer, VP/Director at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of model risk across the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate the activities of the central Model Risk Management functions and the local RISQ Management teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain a robust Model Risk Management framework in the UK, aligned with the global governance framework.
- Clarify roles and responsibilities of local stakeholders versus central teams, formalizing local processes and procedures as needed.
- Oversee the UK-based execution of the model inventory process, ensuring timely and accurate identification of critical models.
- Participate in the Group's Model Risk Management Committee, providing expert guidance on model risk-related matters.
- Broad understanding of risk management and model risk in a banking environment.
- Autonomous and proactive approach to identifying and mitigating model risk.
- Experience in risk management and model risk, with a strong command of written and oral English.
- Some familiarity with French is an asset.
