As a Model Risk Officer, VP/Director at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of model risk across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:Coordination- Collaborate with central Model Risk Management functions and local RISQ Management teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
- Act as a single point of contact for MRM teams and central ALM model reviewers.
- Support RISQ/GBR in their dialogue with BUs and SUs on model risk related topics.
- Elevate questions or concerns raised by local model users or management to MRM and ALM central teams.
- Work with local regulatory surveillance teams to identify new model risk themes, trends, or regulations.
- Establish a robust and clear MRM governance framework in the UK, aligned with global MRM governance.
- Clarify roles and responsibilities of local stakeholders versus central MRM and ALM teams.
- Contribute to the local Risk Management Framework and Risk Appetite Framework.
- Oversee the UK-based execution of the model inventory process, led by RISQ/GBR's COO team.
- Contribute to the identification of critical models for SGLB and SGIL, including models used for SGIL's ICAAP.
- Participate in the Group's Model Risk Management Committee.
- Broad understanding of risk management and model risk in a banking environment.
- Attention to detail, rigorous, and autonomous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Very good command of written and oral English.
- Some familiarity with French useful.
