Model Risk Officer, VP/Director

As a Model Risk Officer, VP/Director at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of model risk across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordination: Collaborate with central Model Risk Management functions and local RISQ Management teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
- Support and Escalation: Provide support to RISQ/GBR in their dialogue with BUs and SUs on model risk-related topics and escalate concerns to MRM and ALM central teams as needed.
- Regulatory Surveillance: Cooperate with local regulatory surveillance teams to identify new model risk themes, trends, or regulations and keep MRM and ALM central teams informed of new developments.
- Communication and Training: Communicate good practices and guidance from MRM and ALM central teams to local model users and train BUs and SUs on new tools, processes, and frameworks.
- Model Review: Support the local ALM team in their review of ALM models, ensuring compliance with Group's best practices.
- Experience: Proven experience in risk management and model risk, with a strong understanding of banking environments.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create good relationships with stakeholders across different departments and geographies.
- Education: Relevant degree in a field such as risk management, finance, or a related field.
