Join Our Cardiac Surgery Clinical Fellowship

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Cardiac Surgery Clinical Fellow. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, contributing to the development of future leaders in the field of cardiac surgery.

About the Role

This one-year fixed term contract offers a unique chance to gain valuable experience in managing complex hospital care for high-risk patients. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with consultants and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage post-anaesthetic care units (PACU) on two sites, exposing you to patients receiving level 1-3 post-surgery care with consultant supervision
  • Contribute to the development of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Pathways, working within a coordinated multi-disciplinary team
  • Participate in CPET training, pre-habilitation, and patient follow-up, extending your learning opportunities beyond traditional boundaries

Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification
  • Final FRCA or equivalent anaesthetic qualification
  • Current GMC registration
