We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Specialty Doctor to join our team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care under consultant supervision, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
- Participate in consultant-led ward rounds, contributing to the development of patient care plans and ensuring seamless communication with colleagues.
- Ensure that electronic discharge letters are sent to GPs, containing all relevant information, and that case notes are properly completed and up-to-date.
- Provide expert advice to clinical nurse practitioners and junior medical staff, promoting a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
- Regularly review drug prescriptions, conduct necessary investigations, and ensure that results are acted upon and shared with the team.
- Deliver a first-class clinical service to our patients, prioritizing their needs and well-being.
- Ensure effective handover of patient information to colleagues, promoting consistency of care and minimizing errors.
- Supervise and teach junior clinical staff, including workplace-based assessments, to support their professional development.
- Contribute to the teaching, research, audit, and governance programs within the Department, driving excellence and innovation.
- Engage in personal development and appraisal processes to achieve revalidation with the GMC, ensuring ongoing professional growth and competence.
- Work collaboratively to achieve National targets, prioritizing quality and patient safety.
