Job Title: General Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our Everlast Gyms team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business, driving revenue growth, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Represent Everlast Gyms: As an ambassador for fitness, you will promote our brand values and elevate the customer experience.
  2. Drive Revenue Growth: You will be responsible for driving all revenue lines, including membership sales, product sales, and secondary revenue streams.
  3. Manage Controllable Costs: You will effectively manage controllable costs, such as stock orders and cleaning supplies, to eliminate wastage and overspend.
  4. Lead by Example: As a member-facing role, you will lead by example on reception and the gym floor, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
  5. Ensure Operational Processes: You will ensure that all daily, weekly, and monthly operational processes are completed consistently and to a high standard using our in-house systems.
  6. Recruit, Train, and Develop: You will lead the recruiting, monitoring, training, and onboarding of new team members within your gym.
  7. Reporting and Maintenance: You will report facilities and maintenance-related issues in accordance with best practice guidelines.
  8. Manage Club Rotas: You will manage club rotas based on budgets, ensuring fully trained team members are always onsite.
  9. Resilience and Agility: You will be resilient and agile to react to challenging situations and find solutions.
  10. Health and Safety: You will ensure consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times, and manage all policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, inclusive of pool plant operations.

Requirements:

  1. Passion for Health, Fitness, and Wellness: You will have a passion for health, fitness, and wellness, and be able to promote our brand values.
  2. Leadership Qualities: You will have strong leadership qualities, including adaptability in communication and management style.
  3. Previous Management Experience: You will have at least 1+ year of previous management role experience within the fitness industry.
  4. Qualifications: A Level 2 qualification in fitness is desirable.
  5. Flexibility: You will be flexible in working hours and location to support the needs of the business, including weekends and Bank Holidays when required.
