We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Practitioner to join our Mental Health Social Care team at Oxford Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading on complex cases and supervising colleagues in AYSE and Assistant Social Worker roles.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a complex case load, including individuals with mental health needs, and work closely with secondary health colleagues to deliver safe and effective care.
- Supervise and appraise Social Work colleagues, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality practice.
- Undertake Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest Decisions, as well as Section 42 adult safeguarding enquires.
- Work within a statutory setting, adhering to relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key partner agencies, including the Local Authority and third sector providers.
We are looking for an individual with:
- Strong social work values and ethics, with a real interest in working within a mental health setting.
- Experience of complex case load management, including individuals with mental health needs.
- Experience of supervising and appraising Social Work colleagues.
- Minimum of two years relevant post-qualifying experience.
- Experience of undertaking Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest Decisions.
- Experience of undertaking Section 42 adult safeguarding enquires.
- Experience of using Social Care data basis.
- Experience of undertaking Care Act 2014 assessments and reviews.
